Hiya!
Highland, 13 wards and all, is doing so so soososo sososos soso soso well! We set four baptism dates this week! One was on exchanges with Sister Vere, a beautiful sister from Fiji. She taught me a lot about the true fast. I never understood how our prayers and our fasting can bring miracles and answers to others who might lack faith. Sister Warren pointed this out to me in Mosiah 27:14 how Alma prays in behalf of his off-track son and though the he doesn't understand his wrong doings, he is brought to the realization by an angel. The angle came because of Sr Alma's faith, not Alma the younger's faith. Through this angel, Alma the younger's life was forever changed. He was brought to the light of truth and righteousness.
So this week we fasted with Brother Durocher, who is struggling with humility because he believes he has everything he needs in his church already and can't get any closer to God than through death. We started our fast with him in kneeling prayer. This was yesterday so we plan to see how he is doing today, but I have faith that Sister Warren,
Sister Durocher, and my prayers and fasting will bring a compelling answer to him. It will just be up to him to accept it. BUT HE WILL :)
I've seen on my mission the blessing and promises that the prophets have told us come true to families that hold family prayer and scripture study. FHE too! I want those blessings for our family and every other family in the world!
Love you all from the bottom of my heart!
Sister Fredrick
