Where There Is Fear, There Is No Faith

This week has been a blast. We've starting teaching a recent investigator on campus. Her name is Brenda, she's from Cameroon, Africa! Her personality is hilarious. Her good friend is a return missionary, as well as her husband. So we have our lessons at their apartment and they are the perfec tpeople to get Brenda out of her shy shell. We hope to have her progress towards baptism for the end of this month.

Each companionship in our mission has been asked by President Brinkerhoff to have a baptism in the month of April. This is our "standard of excellence" for every month, but this month especially President wants to set a record. If this happens, which it will with faith, there will be 280 baptisms in the month of April. If we keep it up, there will be 1500 baptism in the year of 2014 by the Idaho, Pocatello Mission. Yeah, and people wonder why there are missionaries in Idaho. We kicked the month of April off with a fast this Sunday. We fasted for faith, strength, and unity. There is no doubt in my mind that we can accomplish this. WHERE THERE IS FEAR, THERE IS NO FAITH. This is our months motto.

Levi was Baptized on Saturday! A small, quaint baptism with only family. He is a great example of not giving into the temptations of the adversary. He straight up quit smoking the day we asked him to. No one can do that on their own. He leaned on prayer a whole lot.

The General Womens Broadcast was wonderful! I felt like I was with you girls. It's funny, we were at the stake center and Sister Stoor didn't have any daughters in town so she came and sat with us and put her arm around us like we were her daughters. The unifying message that was shared in the various talks are so perfect for the women of the church. I loved how Sister Wixom had the different age groups sing along until we were all in unison. It's so true, we must look at each others similarities to truly see that we are all daughters of God. We must stop pointing out the differences. When we do this, we will become "unstoppable", as she said.

These next few weeks are going to test and try Sister Jorgensen and I, but we will keep working with the Lord to invite others to come unto Christ! I know that Heavenly Father is watching over us and Christ has felt all we are feeling. With this knowledge, how could we not have hope?!

Much love until next week,
Sister Fredrick
