Austin got baptized this week! Harley, his older brother who got baptized 6 weeks ago was able to baptize him. It was a family affair! Their mom is getting baptized on the 12 of July.
It's been a pretty rough week though. Lots of lessons have fallen through. Our investigators are having tons of trials come at them. This last month for Sister Jacobson is going to be a true trial of our faith. We've got lots of work cut out for us, but we can do it. We will continue to press forward with faith! We only had 30 minutes to email today so this is all I have time to write, but know that I love you all and am continuing to learn more and more every day!
President,
Thank you so much for coming to our baptism yesterday. We really appreciated you and Sister Brinkerhoff's presence. We think the baptism went well and the spirit was there. Austin is very special, well the whole family is actually. It's amazing to see how the gospel can change lives!
I'm especially grateful this week for this beautiful country that we live in. I feel immensely blessed to live in a country where I can worship as I please. This truly is the land of milk and honey. Being from the south, we take this Fourth of July holiday very seriously. Though I've never had to fight in a war and stand on the front lines of battle, I feel that right now I am doing what Heavenly Father wants for our country right now. I'm standing on the front lines of true peace, true happiness, true salvation. I know that every message I share, every Book of Mormon I give, every prayer I say, is a testament and stance for truth and righteousness. Though I may not be fighting for my country, I am fighting for something much more lasting and important in our makers eyes. I love this work. I love this battle. And the best thing about it is, we know the outcome.
Victory,
Sister Fredrick
P.S. I lost to president...but it was close! He said i could get my racquet sent out and it would be more fair because he wants a re-match :) we'll see!
