OH WHAT A BEAUTIFUL WEEK!
-I am an agent to act, not an object to be acted upon.
-Stay on the old ship of Zion.
-"Acknowledge and face your weaknesses but do not be immobilized by them."-Elder Jorg Klebingat
-Help the poor, especially the poor in spirit
-Pray is essential for progression, first plead then perform.
-When one tries to save face with man, they in turn lose face with God."-Elder Lynn G Robbins
-"Repair to the sacrament table."-Sister Cheryl A Esplin
-"The work to save souls is NEVER too demanding."- Elder Chi Chong Wong
-"God will not live our lives for us."-Elder Christofferson
-There is no sign at the entrance of our church buildings stating a required height of testimony needed to enter.
-We must be leaven for those around us.
-"You won't be of much help to others if your own faith is not secure."-Elder Neil L. Anderson
-Successful people have libraries and read.
-"Who can put a price tag on the influence of a mother?"-President Monson
-"Don't take lightly the feelings you have for the prophet."-President Eyring
-The Lord honors and favors those who heed his prophetic council.
-The apostles and the prophet do not live in a bubble, in reality, they live more outside a bubble than most of us.
I cannot wholly implement all these things into my life at one moment, of course. BUT, I can strive to do my best and pray for help.
Patterns that I picked up on in conference: prayer, family, and following Christ.
This week was amazing. I went on two exchanges. One to Inkom and one to the Pocatello North stake. When walking down the street with two sisters, I realized I was a little white girl sandwiched in between two Polynesian sisters. It dawned on me...our differences...yet the unity we feel in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I truly believe all goodness, unity, love, warmth, hope, light [insert and positive word] comes from Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ. I know that they live. I know I cannot comprehend their infinite love for me.
Tejashwini was baptized by her brother on Friday. They are from Nepal and take the knowledge of Jesus Christ for everything it's worth. I've never met someone who is so pure and humble as Tejashwini. I am so happy to have taught her and to have been a part of her experience of coming unto Christ.
Love,
Sister Fredrick
